Full-time Television Presenter/Researcher for NOOR TV [a Farsi Television Channel]

NOOR TV a new forthcoming Farsi Television Channel is looking for talented Television Presenters/Researchers who have some experiences in working in media specifically television channels. Due to the nature of this channel candidates have to have a very good knowledge of Farsi speaker’s cultures and should speak Farsi fluently (preferably mother tongue).
Job Description :
Successful applicants should be:
- - familiar with varieties of television programmes/shows;
- - familiar with performing for electronic media
- - creative and would be able to help production team with new ideas;
- - able to work efficiently under the pressure of deadlines;
- - efficient knowledge of Farsi speakers cultures;
- - should be able to read and deliver the contents of the programmes either by Autocue (teleprompter) or without.
Final decisions on successful candidates in addition to their CVs, would be also based on and some audition tests in a television studio.

Job Description :

work professionally on Final Cut Pro. Due to the nature of this channel candidates will need to have appropriate

previous experience working in television. Due to the nature of this channel candidates will need to have appropriate
knowledge of the Farsi culture and should have good understanding of both Farsi (preferably mother tongue) and
English as well.

Description:
The Islam Channel is looking for an editor to work on its news bulletins.
We launched a daily news bulletin service over a year ago, but are now planning
to expand our operation to two half-hour bulletins a day. In order to do that,
we are looking for an experienced editor to manage our team.
Your duties will include managing the news team. Introducing best practice and
providing direction and leadership. Mentoring and training to develop good
standards within the team. Stream lining the current processes and procedures
and producing and editing agency news packages as well as generating your
in-house filmed material. Ability to present on-screen and be familiar with
broadcast camera. You will have strong peoples skill and knowledge of Muslim
affairs in this country and abroad, as well as sound news judgment and TV
writing ability.
Educated to minimum of degree level in an appropriate subject, you need to
possess excellent communication skills with a high command of English both oral
& written.
This is a challenging job and strictly for those wish to make a difference to

We are in the process of creating a new 3D animated cartoon series.
This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to work on an industry
standard production. We aim to produce a very exciting cartoon series for the
children of our Ummah.
The story is about a brother and sister and their animal friends who go out on
adventures in order to learn about the wonders of Allah.
InshaAllah this series will entertain as well as educate our young viewers.
Therefore we are looking to take on enthusiastic volunteers that can help with
production.

Islam Channel is looking for actors and presenters for children programming.
Type of actors needed:
-Females/Males all ages - to be extras in various children's programmes.
Type of presenters needed:
-Females/Males under 30 to be photogenic and smart. Applicants who can
demonstrate cooking and/or arts skills will be at an advantage.
Please bare in mind all actors applying for the roles above should fit the
description and all woman are expected to cover their head, wearing a scarf.
Due to low budgets this is an unpaid position but travel will be paid for!
This is a great opportunity to build up your CV and to make relations in order
to get other work. You will get a copy off your work on DVD, once the series is
completed.

We are looking for a dynamic, self motivated and hardworking individual to work
full-time at our head-office in the IT department and directly reporting to the
IT manager. The main responsibilities are to work as a web-developer and
webmaster for Islam Channel's various websites and cooperate with other
departments to develop the web sites and keep them updated.
Required Skills:

Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XHTML, XML, XSLT, AJAX and PHP both
in OO and non-OO models.

Good knowledge of software engineering and database design and experience with
SQL and MySQL

Good command of Linux and Unix operating systems.

Experience with one of graphics and image editing softwares i.e Photoshop or
GIMP

Knowledge and previous work in .Net and Windows would be an advantage.
