Islam Channel is looking for a senior journalist to work as editor on its news bulletins.

Duties will include managing the news team, introducing best practice and providing direction and leadership as well as working to improve standards within the team. You will be expected to stream line the current processes and procedures and producing and edit agency news packages as well as generating your in-house filmed material. Ability to present on-screen and be familiar with broadcast camera is desirable but not essential. You will have strong peoples skill and in depth knowledge of Muslim affairs both in this country and abroad, as well as sound news judgment and TV writing ability.

You must have at least five years experience as a journalist and also be educated to minimum  degree level in an appropriate subject, with excellent communication skills with a high command of English both oral written. This is a challenging job and strictly for those wish to make a difference to the world of media with the channel. Therefore you need to be a change driver, a determined and well organised individual with a desire to achieve results. Please note that the salary for these positions is dependent on experience.
